Estates General= The Estates General were the three groups in the society of France. The First Estate was the clergy, the second were the nobles, and the third was everyone else.
National Assembly= At the meeting of all three Estates in over a hundred years the First and Second Estates locked the Third Estate out, so the Third Estate had their own meeting and decided to call themselves the National Assembly.
Tennis Court Oath=The Third Estate, having being locked out by the First and Second Estate, held their meeting in the near by tennis court and swore an oath that they would not stop meeting until they brought a rightful order of government to France.
